Honeywell and Wood to collaborate on sustainable aviation fuel

The firms will work together to slash the greenhouse gas emissions produced by jet fuel. Honeywell International Inc (NASDAQ stock symbol HON) has joined the Wood consulting and engineering company in an effort to support companies in their shift toward sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Sustainable aviation fuel has become a focus due to the highly polluting nature of traditional jet fuel. That form of petroleum releases an immense amount of greenhouse gas emissions, making air travel nearly impossible to do in a sustainable way at the moment. Earlier in September, the White house announced a 20% reduction target for the industry by 2030. This has pushed the demand for SAF development.
